Intro to Pickleball
Your first session on court: the rules, scoring, the serve and the kitchen, and a few games before you leave. No experience needed.
Once we open, pickleball at Finca Escondida runs on eight covered outdoor courts: in the shade all day, open to the breeze and lit until 9pm.
Group classes by DUPR level (the pickleball rating), leagues, open play round robins, youth programs from age six and private lessons — whether you have never held a paddle or you are chasing a rating.
Group classes
Every class is set by DUPR level, so you drill and play with people at your pace. New to the game?
Start with Intro to Pickleball, get rated at the DUPR clinic, and the right class picks itself.
Ask about classesYour first session on court: the rules, scoring, the serve and the kitchen, and a few games before you leave. No experience needed.
Play a set of rated games and leave with a DUPR rating — the number that places you in classes, leagues and tournament draws, here and anywhere else you play.
You know how a game runs and want the habits that win points: a reliable serve and return, getting to the kitchen line, and the patience to dink.
Rallies are getting longer and the third shot is on your mind. Drops, resets, dink patterns and reading where the point is going.
Faster hands and better patterns, built around match play: stacking, speed-ups, defending the drive and closing out points.
Continuous drills, quick rotations and no standing around — come for the sweat as much as the game.
Classes are open to members and visitors. Members and visitors pay different class rates. The timetable is being set — class days and times to come — so send us a DM on Instagram or Facebook, or email info@fincaescondidacr.com, and we will tell you when classes open.
Leagues
A league is your standing game. You are placed by DUPR level, play the same evening each week, and the standings run for a season.
Register interestLeagues are how regulars get a weekly fixture without setting it up themselves. Sign up on your own or with a partner, tell us your DUPR rating, and we place you in a division with players at your level. Each week you play the other teams in your division and we keep the standings.
Divisions, league nights and the first season's dates are being set now. Put your name down and we will let you know as soon as they are.
Open play
Open play is the social side of the courts: round robins where partners and opponents change every game, so in one session you play everyone at your level. Once booking opens, come with a partner or on your own and ask at the desk to join the next round robin.
Youth programs
Three groups by age, from six to seventeen, all under roof and out of the sun. The small court and light paddle suit children from the first session.
Ask about a placeFirst paddles. Hand–eye, movement and the dink, taught through games that keep everyone moving.
Real technique and real points: serves, returns, volleys and how to play doubles.
Competitive play for teenagers: strategy, fitness, a DUPR rating and the road to leagues and tournaments.
Youth session days and times to be confirmed. Groups are by age; if your child sits between two, ask us.
Private lessons
Time on the specific thing holding you back — the third-shot drop, a serve that sits up, the doubles partnership that keeps losing the same point.
Ask about lessonsPrivate or semi-private, on a covered court, at a time that suits you. Private lessons are one-to-one with an academy pro: technique, footwork, tactics or match analysis, built around what you want to fix. Stroke video on request.
Semi-private lessons share the court between two or more of you — a doubles pair working on their patterns, or friends learning together at the same level.
Lessons start once membership and booking open, for members and visitors. Contact us to hear when. Our pro team: coach names and profiles to come.
Upcoming tournaments
The Playa Conchal Open comes to the club on 4–6 December 2026. Our own Club Championships and a regional invitational are planned; their dates are being set.

Good to know
Membership details are coming soon. Classes, open play and lessons are open to visitors too.
Membership, coming soonNo. Classes, open play and lessons are open to members and visitors alike. Membership makes sense once you are here a few times a month — see membership.
DUPR is the rating most pickleball clubs use to level players, and the numbers in our class names are DUPR ranges. You do not need one to start — Intro to Pickleball takes anyone — but the Get DUPR Rated clinic will give you one, and leagues and tournaments use it to place you.
Members, and visitors with a day pass, will book courts in the club's booking app, which opens with membership. Courts run 7am to 9pm every day in sixty or ninety minute slots; members book up to seven days ahead. Peak hours are from 4pm until the lights go off at 9pm.
Our courts are covered outdoor courts, not indoor ones, so they are not rainproof. The roof keeps off rain that falls straight down. When strong wind drives the rain in at the open sides, the courts can get wet, most of all near the edges, and stay wet for a while. A wet court is slippery, so play waits until it is dry. On a rainy, windy day, message us before you come. Covered, not indoor compares the three kinds of court.
By age: Dinky Dinkers for 6–9, Smash Squad for 10–13, Power Picklers for 14–17. If your child sits between two groups, ask us.
